THE STORY

Intermix Design is a studio who mix together multidisciplinary design skills to create concepts and designs for architectural projects and art installations in both exterior and interior spaces. We are a team of Designers specialising in Landscape Design, Sustainable Horticulture, Construction, Interior Design and Surface Design (Visual Arts). This mix of fields has given us the ability to work within a diverse range of exterior and interior environments, such as residential, commercial, expos and events.

Intermix Design produce spaces that evoke the senses, express a story, awaken an emotion, and articulate a particular mood, that may be, intimately reflective, thought provoking, inspirational, or dynamic.  We are visionaries and passionate believers in bringing beauty to a space by embracing elements from various design eras to create spaces rich in history, storytelling and personality.

Intermix Design was born out of the founding company Landart Aust Pty Ltd, established in 1992, that specialised in Landscape Design, Construction, Project Management & Horticulture. Christine, is the curator of Intermix Design, with 25 years experience in multifaceted fields. “Our vision is to offer an original and exciting approach to art & design”.

With years of experience in leading multiple teams of landscapers and collaborating with designers, artisans, architects, developers, local councils, tradespeople, suppliers and liaising with clients, has given us the ability to communicate and relate to a wide variety of people, and establish strong working relationships.

Our colourful journeys to exotic destinations, importing products for exterior spaces, and working closely with Artisans in their primitive techniques, has gifted us with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, along with inspiration, knowledge and skills. Travelling to these exotic destinations, mixed with our curious imaginative minds, is strongly reflected throughout our creative ventures.
